Time spent with family, is worth every second.
The Uppercase Living Time Spent With Family Picture Frame Clock (aka the Pinterest Photo Frame Clock) is one of the very first things that drew me to Uppercase Living. I remember finding it on Pinterest and falling in love.
Be sure to follow me on Facebook and Pinterest for more project ideas!
The first thing you’ll need for this eye catching clock is the Uppercase Living Picture Frame Clock kit. There are several styles to choose from in your choice of colors. And yes the clock really works!
The clock kits include the vinyl phrase “Time spent with family is worth every second” and a fully functional large wall clock mechanism (Item # 21201).
The hands of the clock itself sweep in an 21″ diameter. Including the picture frames, you’ll need at least a 36″ x 36″ space to set up the clock (larger frames increase the diameter of the clock).
To complete this project we are using Ikea RIBBA 4″x6″ frames and 3M Command picture hanging strips. Select frames that match your style and décor. You can even use larger frames (5″x7″ or 8″x10″). The only difference is that the diameter of the clock circle will be larger with larger frames.
Follow the simple instructions below to place your pictures frames on the wall. That’s it! Enjoy your beautiful new timepiece!
Where did you get your pictures frames?
The white frames in this article are from Ikea. But any frames will work. I’ve used frames from Walmart and even the dollar store before and they look great. You can also use different size frames (5×7 or 8×10) on a big wall. Keep in mind that larger frames lead to a larger diameter for the clock.
what size are the frames? love love this.
The frames used in these pictures are 4″x6″ Ikea RIBBA frames. Here’s a link to them http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40214202/
But, you can use any frame you want so that it matches your style and décor.
using 4×6 prints, how big is the total picture
Hi! Thanks for reading! 🙂 Using 4×6 frames, the completed size is approximately 3 feet wide. That size is flexible depending on how you space the frames and the size of the frames.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Have finally found a way to tastefully display my family photographs
Yay! So glad we could give you some inspiration. Be sure to check on the new clock kit designs at https://www.ohmyworddesign.com/clocks
would I be able to do the same clock but hang my pictures vertically instead of horizontal? Would the measurements be the same?
Absolutely Kelsey! The overall dimensions of the clock would change slightly, but the spacing between each picture frame would be the same. Make sure you lay it out on the floor or a large table first to get an idea of how it will look. I would love to see a picture when you get it up!
Thank you! Will definitely show you when I have it all up!
Where can I purchase the clock? I can’t find it anywhere?
Hey Cari! You can buy the clocks at http://www.uppercaseliving.vip/clocks
There are several different styles to choose from. Let me know if you have any problems ordering. 🙂
Do you know how big of a space is needed if you use 5×7 or 8×10 picture frames? Also, can any of the vinyl be customized?
With our clock, you can choose the size of frames you want. It all depends on how much space you want your finished clock to take up. On average, when you use 4×6 or 5×7 frames, the wall space needed will be about 3 feet wide. If you use larger frames, the area will go up. And of course, you can spread your frames out a bit if you’d like – the beauty of our clock kit is that you can create it to best fit your space.
And yes, you can customize the vinyl the say exactly what you want. Let me know if you need any help designing.
Did you buy the hanging strips or the hooks ????/
Hey Sheila! We used the strips (Here’s a link – http://amzn.to/2pFYtR4 ). They are basically two strips of velcro back to back. And, if you are using light picture frames, you may be able to cut each strip in half vertically and use half for each side.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

The overall size depends on the exact spacing. 4×6 frames typically result in a 48″ diameter. I would expect larger frames to be closer to 5′ to 6′ in diameter.
